Donna Marie (Sowers) Schrecengost, 75

Newton Falls…. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 11 AM in the First Church of God, for Donna Marie (Sowers) Schrecengost, 75, who passed away Saturday evening at her residence.

          Mrs. Schrecengost was born August 1,1931 in Meadeville, Pa a daughter of Carl Lee and Mary Alice Crookshanks Taylor, and living in Newton Falls since 1941. 

          Besides being a homemaker she was a cosmetologist and had owned and operated Donna’s Beauty Shop and Donna’s  Guys and Gals Beauty Shop in Newton Falls for 49 years. She was a member of the church and had a PHD in compassion and wisdom in life.

          Besides her husband, Don Schrecengost, whom she married August 6, 1984 she leaves to cherish her memory a son, Vern James (Bonnie) Sowers of Warren; a daughter, Sandy Lee  Loeper of Reading, Pa and a daughter, Lori Elizabeth (Al) Sowers Rosebush of Mishawaka, IN; her step-children, Susan Jane Bajnok of Newton Falls and James Dale Schrecengost of Vienna, Virgina; a sister, Dolores Leggett of Mansfield, OH; an uncle, James Taylor of Las Vegas, NV; 9 grandchildren, Jade, Sarah, Cheri, Lee, Fran, Alexis, A.J., Elizabeth and Jennifer; 6 great grandchildren, Chastity, Devon, Darian, Haley, Riley, and Dakota Lee; and many nieces and nephews

          Besides her first husband the late Vernon James Sowers whom she married August 26, 1949, passed away May 31, 1982; her parents; a brother, Ivan Lee Taylor and grandchildren Darrin and Amanda preceded her in death.

          The family will receive friends Tuesday 6-8 PM in church and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Material contributions can be made to Church of God at Prospere, Haiti C/O John Ackerman 426 W. Broad Street, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444. Arrangements entrusted to the Herron Funeral Home of Warren.
